I have been playing around with some light weight Turkish pistols and pulled my old 9mm hybrid Witness out today. The Witness is a Match frame and Limited slide with cone barrel. I forgot how much fun this pistol was. It is a dream to shoot. The slide and frame are chrome and the trigger pull is around three pounds or perfect for my type of shooting. That is forty-five ounces of pure shooting pleasure. I have two Match pistols and both triggers have gotten much crisper since I have been shooting them. Both pistols had triggers under four pounds when new and now both measure three pounds. I would love to get the Sig P210 when it comes to our markets later this year but I don't see how it can beat my Witnesses as far as accuracy. Sky King

If you want to shoot for fun the heavy Witnesses like the Match and Limiteds would be hard to beat. But if your task is carry for protection, the target guns are too heavy for me and the polymer Witnesses come to the forefront. However, I did replace my P9S Witness with the Chaipa MC27E for carry. It does not outshoot the polymer Witness but it does have a full size aluminum frame which I like along with the slide that rides inside the frame like the Witness. Sky King

Well this is strange. Here I am one year later and I just got back from my gun range after shooting the Match frame with Limited upper 9mm. I ran one hundred rounds through it and was again truly impressed with the accuracy and pleasure of shooting this pistol. Recoil is pleasant with the 45 ounces of steel gun. The three pound trigger makes this gun hard to miss your target. Even when shooting floating leaves and sticks on my private pond (richochets protected). I may still buy the Sig 210 Target model, but it can't be better than this gun as far as accuracy, reliability, and ease of shooting. The 210 might fit my hand better but that is an unknown at this time. And if it does fit better I give up 9 extra rounds for that comfort. I have the Sig X5 and it does not outshoot this Witness Limited. Both are excellent shooters, the build quality is better on the Sig but the cost is more than double the cost of the Witness. I bought an ex police CZ85 a while ago and got scared at first by its accuracy from the first mag; I thought that the gun would be boring to shoot.

It was a weird feeling as, back around '90, two of my shooting buddys got similar models which would pattern at 25 yards. I had been bracing myself for mine to shoot likewise, but just couldn't find anything else to buy :).

As a side note, in those years, a friend of mine had a then new ported P9 that would shoot my lead very well; factory FMJ's not so much.
